UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

The University of Sydney is one of the largest universities in Australia, with an enrollment of approximately 49,000 students, including almost 11,000 international students representing 130 nationalities. The University of Sydney is grouped among the top eight universities in the country. It is recognized by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Australia. The University of Sydney is also AACSB accredited. Founded in 1850, is not only the oldest and most prestigious degree-granting university in Australia, but also one of the most beautiful.

The ISA Office is located a short distance from the University of Sydney, at the historically known The Rocks location. Students will have the opportunity to utilize services of the University Union, over 150 clubs and societies, and numerous sports clubs and facilities. Non-academic activities that are offered through these organizations provide a fabulous opportunity for ISA participants to meet other students from Australia and from all over the world. More than 50 sports clubs exist, offering activities for all levels, such as football, baseball, rugby, volleyball, water polo, hockey, golf, soccer and many more.

The University of Sydney is ranked 9th in Australia, and 37th in the world according to QS 2014 World Rankings. The Times Higher Education lists the university as among the top 25 in the world for humanities and social sciences, and the top 50 for engineering and technology.
